The Photographer
Hello! I'm Jackie Harris, a mom, wife, barrel racer, and equine & pet photographer.
I have loved horses for as long as I can remember. My mother told me I would sit and count my pennies, crying and telling her, "I'll never have enough money for a horse". Breyers were my go-to when I would play, not so many dolls. I was gifted my first pony when I was 8 by my stepfather, and have not been without a horse since.
I am a volunteer at Children's Hospital with the Pet Friend Program with my dog, Oakley. Oakley is a certified therapy dog as well as a retired Search Dog. I love bringing smiles to the faces of the patients at Children's Hospital along with other hospitals in the area, nursing homes, schools, etc. It is the perfect way for me to bring a little furry distraction to these kids when they are feeling ruff. Visiting Children's Hospital came to be because of my work with my nonprofit organization, Dreaming of Three.
Photography seemed to always be present, and a wonderful way to give back to others through nonprofits, and rescues, and to give my clients that "save" button for a moment in time with their loved ones, both human and furry.
My goal is to photograph your horse, dog or pet, capturing their individual personalities, all the details that make them so beautiful and special to you, and to give you dramatic beautiful pieces of unique art so that you can feel their presence long after they are gone. I would love to talk to you about a photo shoot with your horse, dog, or anything you have in mind!
